Introduction

Lipa Medix Eye Center is a fully equipped eye facility capable of treating and diagnosing common eye diseases associated with hypertension and diabetes, glaucoma, and posterior capsule opacities after cataract surgery.

Equipment

The Iridex Oculight TX Argon Green 532 Laser is used to perform focal and pan retinal photocoagulatoon for retinal vascular complications associated with chypertension and diabetes such as retinal vein occlusion and diabetic retinopathy.

The Nidek YC-1800 YAg laser is utilized to perform laser iridotomy for cases of pupillary block associated with angle closure glaucoma and to clear opacified posterior capsules after cataract through laser capsulotomy.

The Topcon TRC-NW8F plus Digital Retinal Camera is valuable in diagnosing and assessing retinal vascular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and macular edema as well as retinal occlusive diseases and age related macular degeneration.

The Center also offers Automated Perimetry where visual fields are tested to evaluate and monitor glaucoma patients.

Keratometry and B scan ultrasound biometry are also available to properly calculate intraocular lens power prior to cataract surgery.
